How do I purchase on this website?
Purchasing is easy and safe on the silksewing.com.au website.
Simply go to the fabric you wish to purchase, enter the quantity of
material in centimeters, then click 'add to basket'. When you have added
all of your products, simply click 'View Basket' at the top of any screen.
How do I pay for my purchases?
You may pay for your purchases using credit card (Visa,
MasterCard, Australian Bankcard, AMEX), cheque or Australian Money Order.
We make sure we have everything you ordered in stock prior to debiting
your credit card.
How do I receive my order?
Your order will ship via Australia Post
Express Post, therefore you will receive you order in the mail. However,
if the order is too large, it will be stored at your local Australia Post
Office. For detailed information including delivery costs and transit times please

How long will it take
for my fabric to be delivered once I place an order?
If we have your fabric in stock, it will usually arrive in 2 to 3
days. If there is a delay, we will let you know when to expect the

I don't really
want to put my credit card details into your website? Is it safe?
Our website and web server use the industry leading 128 bit
encryption technology to make sure your information is 100% secure. It
will never be read by anyone other than Silk Sewing Pty Ltd. For more
information please see our
Online Security page. If you are still unsure, you may fax or
email your order using our
order form in Word format
(RTF, 176Kb).
Can I return a
product?
Unfortunately you may not return fabric, however you may return other
products or items for exchange or a credit note. To return an item,
please see our Returns
page for instructions.
Is Silk Sewing’s fabric imported?
Yes, most of our fabrics are imported from India or China.
However, we are constantly searching for new sources of fabric so that we
can bring you the most interesting range of quality silk fabrics.
Is there a Silk Sewing
shop?
No, not at the moment, but there may be in the future. If you
would like to see samples of particular items in our range, please
contact us on

and we will arrange to forward a sample to you.
Can silk garments be
washed?
Well, the answer to this one is “yes” and “no”. Much depends on
personal preference. Please see
Care of Silk fabrics section for a full
explanation.
Can I get samples of
Silk Sewing fabrics?
Yes, we will distribute a sample card of current season fabrics
several time a year to our frequent customers.

the website, but is not in the current season sample card, let us know and
we will arrange a sample.
